On this site we will share information about the Twisp Yellow-Jacket race
team that Joe Brewster and Dwain Hutson have been putting together over the last year and a half.
Also We will share some pictures and stories from other Racers that live in the Methow Valley.
We have been racing mostly in Spokane Wa. and have done Ok for some rookies !! Dwain races the 1966 Chevy
El Camino with a perky little 350 with a T.C.I 350 automatic and a 4:11 posi rear end.
I would tell you more about the Motor but the man with all the information left us before his time. His
name was Charlie Settles from Friday Harbor. He lead a group of High school kids around to the races. They all got
together and put this Half car half pickup rig on the race track. I have been told that it puts
out around 400 to 450 hp
Mike Pinnow of Friday Harbor, now lives in Twisp donated it to the kids and Charlie . It
was in real sad shape when they began their adventure. The kids took the championship as a team at the Mission B.C.
race track! More on that story as the info rolls in.
Joe is working on putting a Buell on the track and did get out a few times in Spokane this Year .
He even won a few runs and is now hooked on making his bike even faster. New Cam , heads
and carbs are in order ! More on his adventures later.
